# The Three Questions

As I wrote about in [*Theodicy*](https://tasshin.com/theodicy) and [Learning from Experience](https://tasshin.com/blog/learning-from-experience/), I believe we are here—alive in this universe—we are here to enjoy our lives, learn lessons, and to help others.

A life well lived is made up of days well lived. I want to remind myself of this view daily, to live it to the best of my ability.

I’ve found it helpful to do a [Mindful Review](https://tasshin.com/blog/catalyzing-positive-behavior-change-with-mindful-review/) practice of asking myself and answering three questions at the end of the day:

- What did I enjoy doing today? How did I play?
- What did I learn today? How did I grow?
- What did I do to serve others today? How did I benefit the world?

Each question comes in two forms. The different forms—question synonyms—get at the same thing, but have distinct flavors or emphases. 

If I’m with a friend, I’ve found it fun to ask them these questions, too, and to share our answers with each other.
