Personal 🀎

I meditate. I grow my capacity to concentrate and focus. I let go of patterns that aren’t working for me. I cultivate love. I deepen my intuition. I deepen in wisdom.

I exercise. I run. I do strength training. I do Tai Chi. I gain strength. I gain speed. I gain endurance. I gain mobility. I gain energy. I’m more comfortable and at home in my own body.

I travel. I meet someone new. We have a terrific conversation. I learn something new. I introduce them to someone else. I grow my network of friends, allies, and collaborators.

Someone’s feelings of love manifest as acts of kindness in the world. Acts of kindness inspire further acts of kindness.

Curiosity ❓

I notice what I am curious about. I clarify my questions about that topic. I ask my questions of the world. I read books. I take online courses. I have conversations. I do research. I take notes on what I learn. I tweet about what I learn. I get answers. I get new questions.

I learn new skills. I grow my skills. I maintain my skills. I combine my skills together in new ways. I collaborate with new people. I do collaborations with existing collaborators. We deepen in shared context and experience. My collaborators and I become capable of increasingly complex, ambitious projects. The Service Guild grows its scope and reach, capacity.

I have a podcast interview. I ask questions I am genuinely curious about. My guest enjoys answering my questions. I learn about my guest’s life and projects. I learn something from their way of being in the world. My guest finds reflecting on their life valuable and cohering. We have more shared context. I share the recording online. Someone listens to the conversation. They learn something new from the conversation. Someone shares the conversation with someone else.

I cohere experience around a specific skill or perspective into a coherent piece of writing. I curate related resources. I write a blog post. I link to other blog posts and projects. I write a book.

I write a story or novel. Someone reads the fiction I write. Someone enjoys the novel. Someone is moved by the story. Someone sees their life or the world in a new way.

The people in the Curiosity Department notice what they are curious about. They learn about their interests in ways that feel aligned for them. They share what they learn with others. We all find it easier to learn about what they have learned about. We improve at our capacity to learn together. We improve at our capacity to share what we learn.
